About Us

Who We Are

The Neurologic Disease Foundation (NDF) serves patients in the neurology community of Northern Virginia. We are active in the areas of patient education, and other patient support activities.

NDF is a grant-seeking organization, designed to enhance neurological health in non-professionals. Through programs NDF works to compliment patient neurological care, to support compliance with treatment plans of medical providers and to lead more fulfilling lives.

The Foundation has interests in all neurological diseases and conditions. Currently the Foundation’s programs emphasize Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson disease.

History of the Neurologic Disease Foundation

The Neurologic Disease Foundation was incorporated in 2006 at the request of neurologic physicians and professionals in the area to fulfill unmet needs in educating and supporting patients with neurological diseases.

While the Foundation has broader areas of interest, it has focused on providing education to patients and caregivers in the Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson disease communities.

The Foundation has chosen not to engage in medical professional education, since those needs are adequately met elsewhere.
